Fokker promotional film for the new F.27 Friendship with lots of good flying showing the capability of the aircraft.
Silent footage of Ansett Boeing 727 VH-RMZ at Avalon after getting nose-wheel bogged. Raw camera footage, but rare, with plenty of blokes in coats and Ansett engineers to identify. Added bonus is the odd Mirage taxying past.
The
story of the development of the gas turbine. A really good period
piece with lots of footage of early jets flying. Features interviews
with test pilots John Cunningham and John Derry. Sir Frank Whittle
stars in a re-enactment of an early test house explosion. |
