Registration Markings of Australian Gyroplanes

The system for registration markings of modern Australian gyroplanes is described fully here. This page provides an example by way of illustration of how the marking system appears in practice.

In summary, the form of registration adopted is prefix of the letter 'G' followed by a dash and a four digit individual number: e.g. G-1234. In terms of marking the aircraft, all may dispense any leading zeros in the individual number: e.g. G-0001 could be marked as G-1. For fairly obvious reasons, registration marks are only required to be carried on the aircraft's vertical surfaces.
