Airways Museum Volunteers

The Airways Museum is run entirely by volunteers. They are responsible for all aspects of the Museum's operation including preparing and maintaining displays, restoring equipment, working in the archives and guiding visitors.

Becoming a Museum Volunteer

Most, but not all, of our volunteers are former Departmental personnel. New Museum volunteers are always welcome and there are a wide range of jobs available to suit individual skills. Volunteers generally attend each Tuesday, when the Museum is open, and also at other times when needed and available. Project work is possible and many of the volunteers do additional work at home.

If you would like to become a Museum volunteer, the best course of action is to come to the Museum on a Tuesday and talk to us about your interests and skills.
