Fokker F.28 Fellowship Flight Survey Station


Above: A Flight Surveyor at work aboard one of the Department's Fokker 28 Fellowships. The oscillograph in the centre of the console produced a printout showing deviations from the desired flight path as the aircraft tracked the navigation aid being surveyed.

 


Above: Another view of Flight Surveyors at work in the one of the three F.28s in 1980. There were two of these flight survey consoles in the forward cabin, one behind the other on the starboard side. The Surveyor on the right in this photo is Ian Phillips.
