Parafield Operations-Administration Building
& Control Tower
- 1971

The Adelaide/Parafield Operations-Administration building seen from landside in 1971.
Note the Control Tower cab on the roof. This Tower cab was replaced in the 1980s by a more modern cab. The building also housed Departmental offices and the Aero Club.

By this time West Beach had taken over from Parafield as Adelaide's primary airport, and Parafield had become the secondary General Aviation airport.

This building was constructed in 1940 and still exists today (c.2008). Similar buildings were constructed at Sydney/Mascot and Brisbane/Archerfield.
